Kink
My day did not start out so well today, had trouble sleeping last night :( I woke up with every intention of taking a shower and getting ready for work, however I was just so tired that I set my alarm for later so I could sleep in a little. Well, that was a complete mistake! I woke up at 7:20am when I need to leave by 7:35am, yikes! I basically threw on my scrubs for work, and put a headband in my hair. So I looked and felt like garbage! Then traffic was horrible getting to work...get to work and it is freezing outside and on and off raining! For those of you that don't know, I work at an animal hospital in Brookfield as a boarding supervisor which means that I walk dogs rain or shine. While I was walking the first dog I noticed that if I turn my head to the left I get a sharp/shooting pain down from my neck to my shoulder blade and then down my back! Very painful! My day at work was pretty slow, only had 4 dogs this morning. So my coworker and I had to find stuff to do to keep us busy. We cleaned all the dog beds and then flipped them all over and tightened the legs and replaced any corners that needed replacing. This may sound super easy to you all however, these beds are a pain in the ass! The screws don't fit right and then the corners don't close up etc. Then when we got all the corners on and replaced we started to put the legs on but low and behold the new legs that the company sent me were different then the last ones they sent me and they were considerably shorter than the others, which left us with even more work. Had to then walk dogs again in the rain as I thought to myself, "why didn't I bring my winter coat today?" We got done with the beds and then it was time for a meeting at work. At the meeting they bought us lunch...pasta, salad, garlic bread, cookies, and cupcakes...YUMMY! Though I did get sauce on my sweater :( After the meeting another coworker and I started a new project that we quickly learned would take us FOREVER! We have these two giant food shelves with velcro strips on them with food labels, well we are wanting to redo the velcro and put one long strip all the way across instead of little ones spread all over. We used a razor, screw driver, putty scraper, goo gone, a towel, and then resorted to alcohol. Even after all that we still had trouble getting the sticky stuff off! This is definitely a project that will take awhile! We walked dogs again in the rain and cold. I left work a little early because I didnt take a break at all today and I was there at 8am, so I left at 5:30pm. On a normal day it only takes me like 12 minutes to get home from work, but today it took me a half hour. People seriously do not know how to drive in the rain! Seriously, it's just rain. If they're acting like this with just a little rain, how is this winter going to be with snow? Uhhh I don't even want to think about it! Coming home to my precious babies though made up for it all! Libby Lue and Ollie met me in my room and were so happy to see me. The kink in my neck/back is still bugging me though so I had my sissy Malissa step on my back and crack it a little thinking that that would help, but it didn't really help. I took a shower and got into my comfy clothes while my sissy made dinner. I ate dinner, caught up on my facebook news and emails, and watching Gilmore Girls. Lately I have this thing with buying different tv series and watching the seasons in order. I've watched the whole series of Charmed, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Saved by the Bell, some of Full House, Dollhouse, and One Tree Hill. Right now I am on Season 6 of Gilmore Girls. To my lovely friend Niko, unfortunately I did not go to Starbucks today, I don't get to go nearly as much as you do! However, I do look forward to your blog to hear about all the different kinds of Starbucks drinks you have :) Well I'm off to read my book (John Sandford: Shock Wave) and cuddle with my kitties! John Sandford is a great author, he has a series that's called the prey series and I've read them all and now he has another series that I am reading now. If you ever want to know a good book to read just ask me, I've read a lot of books!
